广谱抗生素是指抗菌谱比较宽，抗菌范围广泛的抗生素。例如氯霉素、金霉素、土霉素、四环素等。相对于广谱抗生素，抗菌谱比较窄，只对某一种或一类细菌有作用抗生素称窄谱抗生素。
